There's always a happy buzz at
. Evening dining is accompanied by light-catching chrystals on tables, glistening traditional décor and a Chinese water feature complete with fan-tail goldfish. The Qi'lin is a mythical Chinese creature believed to bring one good luck. He is pictured in lead lighting above the entrance and looks like a cross between a dragon and a cow.
The service is consistently friendly, smiling and attentive. Traditional Chinese customs are quickly recognised by staff, for example, for refilling your teapot (by tilting the lid and shifting the pot aside). Suitable for a group of mates to get together, a romantic couple or lunchtime meetings.
The buffet is good value for money with the traditional items you would expect. See
buffet menu for evening and lunch meals. Plates to be filled only once for $12.50, excludes soup, dessert and the colourful lolly bar. Local Asian families tend to prefer the buffet area with its fun lighting and Chinese cartoon characters.
From the extensive A-La-Carte menu, some options are Deep Fried Duck Breast with Plum Sauce (tender diced meat with steamed vegetables), Zsechuan Spicy Chicken (tasty and not too spicy), Wok Fried Meat and Vegetables (in variety of heats), Small Prawn Omelette, vegetarian choices and Tom Yum or Laksa Seafood Soup (mild spice).
Lunchtime takeaway specials are all $9.50. All mains served with steamed rice, add $2.50 for fried rice, office or home delivery. Why not give them a try for your next work party for something a little different?
Several herbal teas are available. Chinese herbal flower tea is delicious with a hint of fruitiness. Served in beautiful, traditional china.
