Q Station Family Fun Day

The Q Station on Manly's North Head will be holding a Family Fun Day on Sunday September 21, allowing visitors to get to know this fascinating site a little bit better and also enjoy many fun activities. It will run from 10.00am to 4.00pm and mainly take place in the former wharf and hospital precincts.

Among the many things to do on the day will be live music and visiting exhibitions and the open buildings (such as the shower block, autoclaves and hospital). There will be a wildlife encounters, yarn bombing workshops, a lecture series and activities for kids including trying out sailing with Eco Sail.

You can also visit the museum or explore the beautiful grounds of Q Station, both on your own or on tours like the Quarantine Station Story tour ($35.00) or the Family Ghost Tour ($36.00). A free wildflower walk will be hosted by the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) . There's even a snorkeling tour (BYO wetsuit).



If you want to attend the Fun Day, you won't have to pay anything, but you do need to RSVP here . It's also recommended that you book in advance for a lot of the tours.

is part of History Week as well as the Manly Arts Festival , which includes other events like the Retro Ride and runs from Friday September 19 through to Sunday September 28.
