Leah Shelton present ' Pulpshow ' running as part of Adelaide Fringe Festival at The Garden of Unearthly Delights: Le Cascadeur at 8:30pm from February 12th until March 13th.

Pulpshow is a physical comedy exploring the paranoia that lies deep within the Australian outback targeting 1970s and 80's low-budget Australian movies. The piece cleverly mocks the Australian image starting the show with a clothes-line pole-dancing routine wearing Australian flag themed demin shorts and crop top. It goes on to look at what we represent in Australia and includes Kangaroos, a cask of wine and Australian places such as Ballarat.

One audience member is asked to join Shelton on stage and using a piece recorded piece he acts out the part of Crocodile Dundee. He has to fight a crocodile and when he succeeds his gets to dance with a maiden in a bathing suit that resembled the one from the 'Lets get physical' film clip.

The show features stories of what to do if you hit or in this case a kangaroo hits you, hitchhiker horror stories and a story of four girls playing on a hill, but they don't all return home. It opens your eyes to what goes on behind closed doors, but has a comical feel to the show.

A highlight was Shelton's Kangaroo dance routine this was beautiful to watch and very life-like and when she hopped onto the lap of an audience member holding a car steering wheel and protrayed Australian driving off road.

Overall an interesting show and good combination of dance and theatre with a comical vibe. 3.5/5 Stars.
