From 20 - 30 July, an exciting new festival, Provocare , will take over the Chapel Street precinct. It is a festival designed to celebrate the unique artistic essence of Prahran.



The ten days and nights of the festival will fill the precinct with amazing art and artists but the heart will beat at the Provocare Main Tent in Grattan Gardens. The Main Tent will host international acts who have created never before seen performances all adroitly overseen by ringmaster Arte Simone. Step into the surreal world of Glory Box: Provocare as Finucane & Smith bring a live-art experience which has already redefined the limits of theatre across the world. Bernadette Byrne is also bringing her seriously naughty [LINK=http://www.provocare.com.au/event/little-death-club/all/]The Little Death Club[/LINK] to the tent to give us world-renowned hilarity.

The demented duo Bourgeois & Maurice bring original songs and high fashion to the stage with a provocative and hilarious catwalk event. A little more heartfelt but no less funny, Adriano Cappelletta give us This Boy's In Love . Bursting with heart, this show showcases stories and songs of past boyfriends and zombie gays. Terror Australis brings Grindr cabaret which tears Australia to pieces. This outback contiki tour brings a frothing hot mess of black comedy, anti-burlesque, and Hills Hoist pole dance.



For those who like their art standing still, international street artist Phlegm will create his first Melbourne Installation. The northern wall of the Love & Lewis building will be transformed into an augmented reality masterpiece which comes to life with a smart phone. Art lovers can also traverse the streets and galleries in ARTWALK . These Saturday events will commence at the rooftop sculpture park of MARS Gallery and discover the Windsor version of Hosier Lane.

If you like your art as food the top Chapel Street chefs will awaken your blindfolded senses taking you on a 3-course journey of food and wine. Dinner In The Dark has been created by Adrian Li of Saigon Sally and Tokyo Tina and queen of desserts Christy Tania .



If this isn't enough already Rag'n'Bone Man will be headlining at the Bromley Grand Ballroom. He will be performing a masterful set along with his smash hit 'Human'.

Be aroused, provoked and challenged at Provocare. Step into the provocative world of music, theatre and mind-altering art. This festival will take the diverse day and intriguing after-dark world of Chapel Street to a completely unexpected level.
