I recently went to a Trivia night at the Prince Patrick Hotel. Trivia nights have never really been my favourite thing but the Prince Patrick changed my mind, and now I'm here to tell you that Trivia nights can actually be fun!

The Prince Patrick is located on Victoria Parade in Collingwood and is a very trendy little pub with an open plan design and a teeny tiny court yard. They serve exceptionally tasty food, have a fairly boutique drink menu and they run a Trivia night from 7.30pm every Tuesday.

The Trivia festivities are run by a friendly comedian (whose name I forgot after several well earned beverages) which makes the game fun, fast and very entertaining. It's free to enter the competition which involved 4 rounds of 10 questions and there are prizes to be won.

Audience engagement is strongly encouraged, with jugs of beer given away for enthusiasm, as well as for actually getting the answers correct (one guess what I received them for!). Prizes also include various food and drink vouchers, as well as the opportunity to play for the "jackpot" question and win money.

If you do want to give The Prince Patrick's Trivia a go, I strongly suggest making a night of it and booking a table for a meal and post-work/pre-game drinks. The Hotel has a good menu, which includes parmas, steak sandwiches and fish n' chips. They also make eggplant chips which, just quietly, are the most delicious thing on the whole planet.
