It's the Chinese year of the horse, so don't wait until the horse has truly bolted. It's going to be a great year, especially for those who get active, do good deeds for others and take responsibility for their own actions.
It's not so great for the rat, ox and the dragon. They need to be especially vigilant. All the more reason to be active and careful of your actions.
Even the Premier is on board with the new Premier's Active April. With great incentives, prizes and an activity tracker app, it's a great fun free activity.

So why not join the challenge of doing 30 minutes of activity a day for 30 days. The time can be made up of blocks, for example two lots of 15 minutes and the 30 days do not have to be consecutive.
I like the fact that you can choose any of your favourite activity pastimes. Having not been overly sporty of late, for me that might have to be running to the letterbox several hundred times. I could try going up the stairs instead of texting… there must be many ways to sneak in some extra activity.
All you have to do is 1. Register 2. Get active
3. Complete the challenge
4. Be rewarded.
Some of the rewards for just registering include discounts at Rebel sport, YMCA passes, passes to the Melbourne Aquarium and National Sports Museum, and a chance to win free sports gear for your school.
At the end of the challenge you will be asked to complete a short survey.
Apart from the prices you are working your way towards being healthier. This is an enjoyable family, individual or group activity.
Gotta get a giddy up if you want to make the most of the positive energy this year.
