FREE swim, gym and exercise classes near you
active april

Every week I head off to a class of aqua exercise. Whatever my stress levels or terrible mood I hit that thermally heated pool and when I leave I feel cleansed, refreshed and invigorated.

I often think I should do the class twice a week. But cost and time can get in the way. But in April I can do this at no additional cost because in Active April there are some incredible health and well-being freebies for the month and all Victorians can enjoy these.

This is an initiative from the Premier to get people moving and I think it's a godsend.

You can extend what you already do but you can also try lots of options that you are perhaps unsure whether you want to commit to, but wouldn't mind giving them a go to see what they are like.

The program encourages you to get some exercise every day in April but it offers you heaps of freebies in order to do this, especially free passes to many of your local community or council run recreational facilities in your area.

Here is just a sample if you join up. (Remember it is free to join!) You must get the Active April card to get these freebies but it is as easy as going online.

why do they make it so complicated? I just want to register for myself, and my children, but could not add them...I found this is not user-friendly. Many people are nore familiar with this complicated way of doing things. Not many of us are English native and comfortable with webs.
