Beach Club and Restaurants with Sunset Views

Potato Head has fast become the place to go since the inception of the Beach Club in 2010. An architectural and design adventure, it's worth a visit for that alone, though also the perfect spot for a day by the beach, lounging by the pool or sunset dinner.

We arrived at 5.40 without a booking, as we had just planned on a quick bite at the bar. Unfortunately, there were no tables available until 7.30 in the Asian restaurant or 9.30 in the Western Restaurant and no space at the bar. It was strange as there seemed to be plenty of empty tables, so I'm not entirely sure if it was just an oversight. I definitely recommend making a booking. If you do get stuck on the grass, they do have little tray tables if you order food, so it's still pleasant.

We settled for a drink on the lawn, to watch the sunset. There was a stage blocking the view but De La Soul had performed the night before, so I'm guessing that is not a permanent structure.

I've heard plenty of good things from friends who have taken their kids and spent the day in the beach club, so it is definitely worth a visit, either for lunch or dinner.
