Event: 04/02/2012

Organised by the South Melbourne Life Saving Club, The Port to Park open water swim is a 1.1km swim race which starts at Port Melbourne, and finishes at Albert Park.

Melbourne beaches are pleasant, clean and beautiful and this annual event is unique, as the audience are allowed to walk the length of the beach, supporting any friend and/or family member competing in this event.

The entry fee goes towards the South Melbourne Life Saving Club, and a swimmers briefing happens at 10am on event day before heading to Lagoon Pier at Port Melbourne.

Once again, it is important that you are physically fit and well trained to take part in such events.

This swim is quite challenging, and also depends on beach conditions on the day.
