The Primary Old Port Road Medical Centre is located on Port Road Royal Park. The facilities within this establishment are broad, ranging from your well furnished doctors rooms, dental clinic, on site physiotherapy, X-Ray facilities and Chemist are all located on the premises. However only a 30 second walk away through the car park and you are greeted with some excellent gym facilities. Being able to have one medical location deal with your every need is definitely something that will keep me coming back.
Having only visited a handful of times I've certainly had a great experience each and every time, going there with a wrist injury I was greeted by their friendly reception staff. This facility has a no appointment policy, meaning you arrive and wait in line without the hassle of making an appointment, brilliant for the busy working man.
My wait ranged on time of day, mostly morning to afternoon visits being less than 20 minutes, which I found more than adequate. The doctors on staff are well trained, checking every possible way my wrist may have been injured, even suggesting that I have an x-ray followed by an ultra sound if need be. They were determined to find the cause of the injury and this was a trait that reassured me I was in great medical hands.
The attendants downstairs at the X-Ray facility were also great, big smiles, very friendly and worried about my situation. With all these medical options in one space it allowed me to get all the bases covered in one visit, having all these minds trying to find out what occurred was a very great experience. Within an hour my fractured wrist had been found and plastered and I was sent on my way. One of the few problems with the surgery was the amount of parking, finding a park amongst all the patrons visiting all these different medical buildings was no easy task. With gym, physio, and medical cases all using the parking locations as well as the doctors themselves, the lack of adequate parking was definitely noticed.
Almost as important as the doctors themselves is to make sure the patients are comfortable before they see their practitioner. Having recently renovated the waiting room it seems with soft and comfortable chairs to ease the waiting period, this not only makes it easier to wait but gives the vibe of a well maintained clinic overall.
Living in the Western suburbs delightfully entitles you to an excellent medical practice close by, allowing the ease of an all in one stop-shop when it comes to medicine makes Port Road's facilities more than sufficient . Having lived in the Western suburbs before, I wish I had knowledge of this location before my last few visits. I would recommend this facility with ease and as a patient, prepare to be treated like you are number 1 priority, like you should.
