Looking for a good yoga class? Try
Pop Up Yoga. Tucked away out of sight, it's a haven of peace in the middle of busy Islington. And, dedicated to yoga all week long, it's guaranteed to have a course or workshop to suit everyone.
The studio's
regular timetable caters for a wide range of yoga styles - hatha, ashtanga, restorative, dynamic, vinyasa - as well as early morning energising sessions, pilates, pregnancy yoga, baby yoga, yoga for men and shakti dance.
On top of all this are special
workshops and courses, currently including yoga for beginners, a baby-and-father class, and a 'yoga on the go' workshop focusing on simple techniques that can be integrated into everyday activities.
Prices are reasonable, especially given that the group sizes are kept small, which in my experience makes them much more effective and enjoyable than a class in a huge studio where you have to crane your neck to see the teacher.
It's also a great space for teachers;
hire is just £25 per hour, including 15 minutes either side to prepare and clear away. All mats and props are provided, even down to incense to set the mood.
