Come to the market with all the fun of the fair
There is nothing better to do on a lazy Sunday than to go for a lovely drive up into the Adelaide Hills. Well, maybe there is, but everybody loves a great market and the ever popular Hahndorf POP Market is back for 2016. The first market for the year was held in February 2016 in the charming 150 year old Hahndorf Institute, 55 Main Street, Hahndorf.

Commencing in June 2015, the POP Market has been a great success with young and old having a ball wandering amongst stalls where the items are handmade, created with love, unique and available for purchase. See if you can grab a bargain!
From 11.30 am to 5 pm you can wander in absolute comfort whatever the weather; rain, hail or shine. Browse amongst the stalls and select handmade products and gifts from Chatterbox City (specialising in children and adult fashion accessories), Craft Your World (handmade cards, gift bags, gift boxes and bows), C & M Berkin Chemical Free Honey, Maid of Maille (Chainmail jewellery). There is live music creating an engaging and friendly atmosphere. Entry is free.
When you are done browsing through the market, take the opportunity to stroll along the historic main street of Australia's oldest surviving German settlement. You will find bakeries, pubs, small goods stores, restaurants and cafes or head to the park to share the delicious baked goods bought from the market. Bring your family and friends and stay for lunch or afternoon tea. It's always a great day out.
I appreciate your comment. I have in the past parked either at the end of town in the large carpark, however I am aware that that can get full very quickly. At other times, I have parked in the side streets. I hope you enjoyed your visit, Hahndorf is a beautiful Hills town.
I only have one diagreement with your page and that is your comment about parking. We were at Hahndorf last weekend and it was so hard to get a park. I even said to my daughter "They want tourist up here but they have so much restricted parking".
