Team All-In Head down to the Belvedere Hotel at woody point to check out the New Australian Pro Poker Venue. This is a fantastic venue, the food and service from the Hotel was great. Rego is at 6:00pm with Tournament start at 7:00pm, which allows plenty of time for a meal and a drink for those extra chip up's. Starting Stack 5000 plus early bird and members chip up, make for almost a deepstack tournament. Two team All-In Players Dan and Dannii sit down to play for some fantastic prizes.
This week first place will receive $200.00 cash, and a $200.00 Hotel Voucher. Great prizes. I had a quick chat with Tim (APP Nth side Boss and Host Tonight) and he explained to me that he is turning his venues into Party Poker not Pub Poker, and I must say he is doing a great job. The atmosphere was great, the rules enforced but without complaint. The play as with any Pub (Party) Poker had its moments with the usual bad beats, and of course the stories behind them flowed freely.
Three Tables left and Team All-In Dan is smashed and exits the tournament. (Call me if you want my bad beat story).
10:13pm and the Final table is decided. Australian Pro Poker run a 10 seat table for the final. This will also include the winner of the Turbo table. The players are seated including Team All-In Dannii. The players start to fall one by one with Dannii going out in 6th position. Players continue to fall and by 10:45pm Heads Up is now decided.
Jenifer and Midge(Nanna) sit across from each other with that killer look in each others eyes (well they looked seriuos).
Seven hands down and Jennifer on the Big Blind pushes all her Chips into the Middle. Midge thinks for a moment and Calls. Jennifer looked a bit surprised. Jennifer shows J 3 and Midge turns over A 5 Flop 4 Q 7 Turn 7 River 4 Midge's Ace holds up making her the Tournament Champion. Well done Midge (Nanna).
