This May, all budding artists and non-scientists are invited to come along and participate in a one-day course at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) which will merge the fields of art and science.

Entitled '', this interactive course will be led by Dr Tanya Scharaschkin of the School of Earth, Environmental and Biological Sciences and will consist of lots of hands-on activities and time for observation and exploration.

It will be held at the QUT Gardens Point campus on Sunday 4 May 2014, from 9am to 4.30pm and offer participants non-technical and simple explanations of plant cells, tissues and organs.

Specimens relevant to understanding the structure of Australian plants and of relevance to Australian ecosystems and agriculture will be utilised wherever possible.
