The countdown to the 25th of December has begun and kids across the nation are already putting together Christmas lists longer than Santa's beard.
While parents scratch their heads wondering how on earth they're going to fit it all in the house, there's a gathering in Covent Garden of a number of furry creatures central to the whole business of getting the prezzies delivered efficiently on the big night.
Yes, the reindeers are in town, having come all the way from Lapland to do a spot of meeting and greeting.
For several Saturdays in the run up to Christmas Day (and one Wednesday after Christmas Day), Santa's reindeers will be
hanging out in Covent Garden, psyching themselves up for their big job while meeting the children who will benefit from all their hard work.
Kids of the capital and beyond are invited to go along to wish luck to Santa's helpers for Christmas Eve. It's also possible to feed the animals to help build up their strength, and let's face it, they're going to need all the energy they can get for a trip that covers thousands of miles in one night.

Meet the docile creatures on the East Piazza on the 20th & 27th November and the 4th & 11th December; and the West Piazza on the 18th December. They'll also be on the East Piazza on the 29th December, where the little 'uns can go and thank them for all their hard work.
There are loads of
Christmas events for kids happening at Covent Garden this year, and meeting the reindeers is all part of what should be a great day out at the popular piazza.
