Stamp collecting is still the most popular hobby in the world, followed closely by coin and currency collecting.

Each year since 2012 collectors, dealers, hobbyists, businesses and the Australian Post Office as well as many, many interested visitors congregate for the Perth Stamp & Coin Show .

This year the show will run over two days, Friday the 12th and Saturday the 13th of August at the WA Guild Function Centre in Crawley.

The show will bring together not only local and interstate and stamp, coin, banknote, postcard, militaria (including medals & collectable) dealers but also, in the upstairs room a sort of Flea Market for collectors to sell their duplicates or unwanted stock in a sort of 'Bring and Buy'.

For collectors there will be the opportunity to get your stamps, coins and banknotes valued at no cost or to have that unknown stamp or weird banknote identified.

Stamp valuations will be conducted by Ian Boulton Stamp Dealer , while coins and banknotes will be done by Mike Stark of Ancients.CC . Jamey from JB Military Antiques will value 19th and 20th century German, British, Australian and world militaria, including medals, uniforms, swords/ edged weapons, flags, unit patches/ insignia, badges, helmets/ head gear, field equipment, military books, de-activated weapons and other items of related memorabilia.

Payment will be made by cash (or cheque for larger amounts) there and then if you wish to sell outright.

Every year since the first the attendance has grown as the venue is convenient with plenty of parking, café facilities and plenty of space.

A further attraction will be the sale of commemorative overprinted PNC's and Australia Post commemorative postmarks for both days.
