Located along Payneham Road, is noted to be a family friendly bistro that serves both pub style dishes and more "upmarket" dishes for those that want something different. When you dine there you are offered access to their salad bar, which offers a selection of fresh salads and hot vegetable dishes.

Offered as a monthly promotion during our visit, the Pork Sirloin consisted of a grilled pork sirloin served alongside mashed potato, spinach, carrots, mushrooms, bacon and seeded mustard sauce. We were pleased with the quality of the dish, which had a tender pork sirloin with a delectable char-grilled flavour partnered well by the various vegetables. The seeded mustard sauce was also not too thick and had the right degree of mustard flavour to help lift the flavour of the pork.



Although we found their Salt and Szechuan Pepper Squid to be a bit too salty for our taste, the squid was still tender and was contrasted well by the crisp coating. The use of Szechuan pepper gave it a taste that is a bit different from similar dishes that we have tried. Served alongside the squid was some aioli that you can dip the squid in to help balance out its salty taste.



A dish that you can expect to see at any Aussie pub, the Chicken Schnitzel was of a generous size with the golden brown crumb coating helping to set off the perfectly cooked flesh. You also get to choose your choice of gravy to top the schnitzel. The pepper sauce had the right level of peppery flavour and the mushroom sauce had large chunks of mushrooms. Tuesday is an excellent day to enjoy the schnitzels as both the Chicken and Wagyu Beef Schnitzels are offered at a cost of only $9.90.





Aside from $9.90 Schnitzel Tuesdays, also has Steak and Schooner for $13.90 on Wednesdays and Roast of the Day for $12.90 on Sundays. We also enjoyed 25% off our total bill by using our Entertainment Book voucher.
