Patterns Cafe in busy Swanston Street is buzzing with activity. Come inside and the place is so small, you just need to be a little bit careful to not bump into anyone else. Thankfully, I scored a quality table at one of the booths, yet the seat was way too hard to sit on. It was easy to order at the counter and pay straight away.

Ordered an iced coffee and it was strong, cool and refreshing. I was a happy camper. The service was fairly prompt and efficient, and for $3 a pop, this iced coffee was exceptional value and presented in a generous serving glass. Once again I was happy, and if this establishment was in the running to be voted for making the best iced coffee in the city - I would have no hesitation in voting for this business. Quite filling and a great Sunday afternoon drink. The water service is also great too. Apart from the slightly cramped and uncomfortable decor, I will still return on my own for a quick pit stop. Bliss.
