Are you are looking for something a little different to do this Australia Day long-weekend?The friendly people at Passionate About Photography are getting together to celebrate everything Aussie with a fun and creative photographic shoot. The theme will be celebrating Australia Day, so wear anything Aussie, or bring an Aussie prop along.

January's photo shoot will be held on Sunday 25th, at Orleigh Park, West End, but they choose a different venue/location each month, so it's a good idea to check photo shoot details on the Passionate About Photography Facebook page .

Passionate About Photography is an informal group of photographers, models, make-up artists and anyone who would like to attend or be involved on the day of the photo shoot.

It's a fun day out with a difference.

It's family-friendly.

It's free and anyone can attend.

There are no membership fees to join this informal group and no-one is paid - it's just for fun.

So, if you are into photography, this is a great opportunity to practice, build up your portfolio and meet like-minded people.

If you would like to be a model or dream of being a model, this is your chance to build your portfolio and get some great experience in front of the camera as well as make some memories.

If you love doing make-up and want to practice your artistry, then why not go along and work your magic on the models so they look amazing for their photo shoot?

Where are the photo shoots held?
All of the venues chosen are within a reasonable driving distance from Brisbane's CBD. It usually not more than one hour away.

They choose a different venue/location for the photo shoot every month.

In November 2014, their photo shoot was held at The Spit, Southport. They had twenty-three models photographed and three photographers on site.

Can anyone be a model?
Yes!

There is no restriction on who can model, however, there are privacy forms to be completed as they endeavour to keep all personal details away from photos to ensure the model's anonymity.

Who are the Photographers?
They have regular photographers attend the photo shoots.

Ian McKenzie is the founder of Passionate About Photography. He regularly attends, as do Vaughan Whitworth and Paul Francis.

They all produce beautiful work, just look at the stunning photos!

They have had up to eight photographers attend a shoot but more are welcome to come along and join this great community of photography enthusiasts. Don't be shy.
