You really can't have too many food markets. Turn up hungry and suddenly you're in a land brimming with temptation. A simple exchange of coins for nosh and in a flash you're stuffing yourself silly with all manner of goodies, sending your digestive juices into a fountainous frenzy.

If you haven't yet had the pleasure of exploring the wicked delights of Partridges Food Market at Duke of York Square on the King's Road, then make a date and hurry along. It's open every Saturday from ten in the morning till four in the afternoon.

The market has made quite a name for itself among traders and customers alike. Starting nearly six years ago with 15 stalls, Partridges Food Market has expanded quickly and today up to 50 food specialists turn up each weekend offering tasty morsels from around the world.

Among the regulars you'll find Sobo Chocolate, whose handmade choc you most likely will not be able to resist. And if the choc doesn't get you, Sobo's cookies and brownies surely will.

From across the channel comes France Gourmet Ltd, purveyor of sticky jams, honeys, tapenades, confits, chutneys, and a whole lot more besides.

If pasta is more your thing, look out for La Tua Pasta, with their award-winning products. The pasta sold at their stall is made on the day and contains no preservatives or additives, so when they say it's fresh, they mean fresh.

For something closer to home, pick up a piping hot pie from Pieminister. All of Pieminister's pies and sausage rolls are made lovingly by hand, with pies of note including the
popular Matador Pie, filled with steak, chorizo, butterbeans and olives, and the intriguingly named Heidi Pie, which comprises goat cheese, sweet potato, and a hint of roasted garlic.

To see the full line-up of food and drink on offer at the market, take a trip to Duke of York Square on any Saturday. Grab lunch there and fill up your bags with goodies to take home. You could even combine it with a shopping trip along the King's Road.
