Oh so worth it once in a while to stay here. Chic, elegant, sophisticated and luxurious, the
Palazzo Versace at Main Beach, right near
Sea World, is a great oasis to escape and have a few days away in the holiday destination of Australia, and yet my writing is more inspiring to me up here, never forget the laptop, even though I should just leave the latter at Melbourne, especially in the warmer months.
Staying here in winter gives you the lowest rates, however its not as fun, especially when you have a cold and all you are inclined to do is eat at McDonald's because your not in the mood for quality food and quality pastries, even though their room service is a treat. And the private beach is too cold to fully enjoy, although the sun beds are still a treat with pool service. Eat here as much as you can. Even their wedges and club sandwiches have class and finesse. Love the Versace crockery your meals come with, as well as something so simple as making yourself a cup of tea and drinking it from a Versace cup. The furniture is so good, you want to take it home; bugger you can't.
Concierge are great. As expected from a top five-star hotel your bags are already taken care of, and this is the type of establishment where you sit down at check in, and you are escorted around the facility so you know where everything is. Love the toiletries, so good to take home; your allowed to and you get given a packet of Versace bath salts to take home as a gift.
The best bed I have ever slept on. Walking up at 10am (even earlier) is normally so easy for me. Not here, waking up at 10am is such a chore as your body easily melts into the generous king size bed. You would be forgiven for thinking your in Italy on holidays, not on the Gold Coast immersing yourself in your own private sanctuary.
The turndown service is fantastic, love the chocolates they give you as well as complimentary bottles of
Santa Vittoria sparking water. I am in heaven, and truth be known, this is the only hotel that I actually took the time and the liberty to fill out the feedback forms regarding my stay - Palazzo Versace was that great. Hard work really pays off.
