
Grab your mittens and your woolly hat – the outdoor skating season is fast approaching.
This year more London landmarks than ever are setting up rinks, guaranteeing lots of fun in spectacular surroundings. The new kid on the block of ice this year is the London Eye's Eyeskate, billing itself as Southbank's first ever ice rink. Sounds cool.
Hyde Park, meanwhile, claims to be home to London's largest outdoor rink, as part of its annual
Winter Wonderland festivities.
If you've never put on a pair of skates, give it a go. Even if you spend more time on your fundament than on your feet, you're bound to enjoy yourself and can take home with you the satisfaction of having done something a little different (as well as a few bruises, perhaps).
