I love how this cafe is called 'Our Place', because the owners make sure people and dogs are equally welcomed here! Located in the Redlands' Victoria Point, a bayside suburb, is more of a community hub for locals rather than a full-blown cafe, which only adds to the unique factor of the place.

The cafe itself, a quaint little cottage that is white in colour, is interlinked with other business which share the same space. I was a bit confused when I first arrived, because I could not figure out where started and where it ended! However, I think that having multiple businesses so close together can only be a good thing, because there are so many extra potential customers who will be visiting their premises.

describe themselves as a "takeaway coffee garden" - they have the standard coffees available, made by locally handcrafted, award winning A.M Coffee Roasters . They also have a range of teas available.

In addition to yummy treats, Our Place also offers a self-service bar including toasters, a sandwich press, and a microwave, for just a gold coin donation - there are different types of bread available, in addition to a range of spreads. Our Place does not make a profit from this self-proclaimed "quirky" system, but but believes everyone should be able to have an affordable experience.

Our Place also has a menu just for the lucky pups that visit, including a wide range of treats from Pets at Home Care Bakery , a small run-from-home business just a 4 minute drive away. They make amazing homemade treats, and I fully recommend them for your pups - as a bonus, they are made with no salt, no sugar, and no preservatives! Our Place also has puppaccinos, which Eddy loves - not as many cafes has this as you think, so we always jump at the chance of ordering one whenever we can.

Even though Our Places describe themselves as a takeaway coffee garden, they will bring your order to you, wherever you decide to sit - it's no different from any other cafe. We of course chose to sit in the "off the leash coffee garden" - here, dogs are allowed to roam free within the safety parameters in the form of a fully enclosed area with secure fenced gates. I've been to more than my fair share of dog friendly cafes, but this is one concept I'd never encountered before. Eddy had an absolute blast, despite it being an early morning weekday and he was the lone dog. There are plenty of shaded areas for their owners to sit, chat, and enjoy their meal, while the dogs had a romp in the garden.

There are also plenty of other seating options outside of the off leash dog garden.

Our Place conveniently has everything that doggy owners need, including:

The area out the back is designated for dogs (and perhaps dog lovers who want cuddles) in the off leash garden, but the front is a paradise for parents with young bubs - Our Place has many toys available for children to play with, including multiple pedal cars! They will surely keep the kids busy while you sit back and relax as a nice change.

It's also worth noting that on Wednesday mornings, Our Place hosts pottery classes in the garden. Bookings through WindMill Pottery 0412 744 715 are essential. On Saturday mornings, local artists perform live for patrons of Our Place. Thanks so much for having us, - your staff was nothing but friendly, as were the other patrons, and your ideas are so innovative. It's friendly community-based businesses like yours that make the best memories.
