The Queen Victoria Market is playing host to a spectacular event on March 19 and 21, 2012. Entitled Opera in the Market, this ticketed event will give patrons the rare opportunity to go on a Food and Wine Trail sampling signature dishes and a selection of wines from Melbourne's finest restaurants, caterers and microbreweries and also witness performances by acclaimed opera soloists in one unique location.
Participating at this event will be The Point Albert Park Lake, MoVida, Estelle Bar & Kitchen, St Katherine's and Fred and Ginger Catering and performing at this event will be soprano Elena Xanthoudakis and tenor Roy Best, James Morrison, the Alpha Sinfonia orchestra and 100 voices conducted by Guy Noble.

In order to 'purchase' food and beverages, you will receive $20 Market Dollars with each ticket purchase, which can be redeemed on the Food and Wine Trail.
