UPDATE: Thanks to all the support from fans, One Direction have added two more shows to their Melbourne tour.
Before One Direction had even wrapped up their 2012 Australian tour, they were already announcing their next one. They played a sellout show, and now will be playing two huge shows at the Rod Laver Arena in September 2013.

Tickets for the 2013 Australian Tour go on sale on the 24th of April, more than a year before the boys are set to land on our shores again. They will be performing over the 19th and 20th of September.
One Direction are Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik. The boys range from 18 to 20, and took the world by storm since first forming on Britain's The X Factor. These days you're just as likely to find a screaming fan as you are a staunch One Direction critic. On their 2012 tour they played to sell out shows, could be seen on every Australian television channel, and were mobbed almost everywhere they went.
If you are planning to get along to one of their two Melbourne concerts, you'll want to get in early. You can choose between A Reserve ($99) and B Reserve ($79) tickets, with A Reserve obviously being closer to the stage. For an extra $10 you can also add a special edition lanyard to your ticket order.
If you're willing to splurge, or convoke mum and dad to splurge, then there is also the Sound Check Party Package. It's not cheap, tickets are $399, but it includes seating in the front 10 rows, special souvenirs, and access to the pre-show sound check.
When in Australia for the 2012 tour the boys said they were looking forward to coming back in 2013, and promised the tour would be bigger so that more fans can come along. They'll be playing two concerts in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, as well as adding shows in Adelaide and Perth.
What happens if you miss out on buying tickets when they go on sale? Check out the shows in Sydney or Brisbane, just in case their double shows don't immediately sell out. If you can manage a trip to Perth you can also wait till tickets to their show go on sale later this year.
You can also try and win some free tickets, as there will likely be countless competitions later to the date. Listen to stations like FOX FM or Nova, who might have some tickets on hand.
Of course you can also just try and join the crowds on the street to see if you can catch a glimpse when they're in town. Find their schedule and head to the airport, their hotel, or anywhere else they might be around town. Sure it's probably stalking, but everyone else will be doing it to.
For many it can be hard to understand the One Direction hype, but they're just filling the gap left by the popular boy bands of the 90s and early 2000s. Perhaps we're just all getting too old?
So to grab tickets make sure you jump on Ticketek on the 24th of April, they go on sale at 5:00pm AEST. You'll have to be a member of Ticketek before you can buy any tickets, so make sure you get the creditcard holder signed up in advance.
