Warrandyte Theatre Company is set to light up the stage and once again delight audiences as they presents the 2016 One Act Plays.



If you have never been to one of the Warrandyte Theatre Company Productions, you are in for a treat. It is a lovely, small and very informal theatre with delightful cabaret style seating - perfect to enjoy on your own and meet some new friends or to share with a partner or group of your friends.

It is a community theatre, so very informal, yet the quality of acting is great and even better, as well as supporting local actors, it is extremely affordable. Whilst certainly not grandiose, like the city theatres, what it lacks in pomp, it makes up for in a wonderful sense of community.

This year there are three one act plays and you can grab a bottle of wine, some food and snacks and enjoy seating in a cabaret style, around a table on your own or with a group of friends. Enjoy something to eat and drink whilst you watch these terrific plays. You can even buy wine by the bottle or choc top ice creams while you are there.

2016 One Act Plays

Something Old, Something New (by Tony Layton)
WTC One-Act Plays 2016Ageing and fading rock star Jet Rush checks in to the Bridal Suite with Pat, his new wife. [Rated M - language]. Directed by Daryll Mitchell and starring Tony Clayton, Angela Heine and Daryll Mitchell.

A Dog's Life (by Pam Valentine)
Follows a day in the life of four dogs in a pound when a human comes looking to adopt. Directed by David Tynan and starring Noelene Cooper, Simone Kiefer, Eloise Thompson, Lesley Freeman, Joy Flannagan and Jack Fisher.

Boise, Idaho (by Sean Michael Welch)
The narrator of a story chronicles the meeting of a couple in a small cafe in Paris, France, only to start losing control of her characters once they realise she exists. Directed by Ruth Richter and starring Lisa Upson, Jon Italiano, Flora Terrens and Jack Fisher.

In 2016 the three one act plays will be held on the 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th of July at 8 p.m. with a matinee show at 2 p.m. on the 2nd of July.

Tickets are $25 or concession rates are $20pp.
