Adelaide local who loves her city
Published June 19th 2011
Tea Tree Gully has some hidden secrets to explore, and the Old Highercombe Hotel Museum is one of them. This historic building was erected in 1854 and has served the local community in many different ways.

If you enjoy exploring Adelaide's local history then you will find this museum very interesting. Visiting this unique building is like taking a step back in time and reliving the past. The city of Tea Tree Gully can only keep these treasures alive if the public keep visiting, so why not take the time to visit this Sunday?

It has been home to a schoolhouse, library, post office and community centre. The city of Tea Tree Gully has a very strong focus on local heritage preservation and the museum is a fascinating example of this.

Take the short drive up North East Road from the city and explore this beautiful part of our city.
