Have you heard of the "Doc"?So called from his time as a paramedic, Doc Span is one cool dude!Along with his old mate Ross Williams, they will return to Noosa on Friday 7th November to play LIVE.

Why? Doc & Ross were approached to do a special show, raising awareness for two really important organisations. The first Sunshine Hospice, does an awesome job operating Katie Rose Cottage, home to more than 70 people each year facing their last days.

The second is Movember - the launch - so don a 'mo' and come along - it's all about raising awareness of Mens' Health and Mens Mental Health - both really important issues.

Doc Span & Ross Williams are back to perform on the Sunshine Coast with their special blend of authentic acoustic Blues at Noosa Blue Resort's new live music venue.Powerful down home blues deeply rooted in the Chicago and Mississippi styles represent Span and Williams' respective upbringings and influences.

A love for the Blues and their instinctive musical chemistry and enduring friendship prompts wild, fun and enthusiastic performances for more than 20 years.

Ross Williams, the unassuming guru of guitar, celebrates 40 years in the Australian music industry this year. Doc Span is renowned for his unique warm grainy voice, expressive harmonica tone, inspiring dynamics and exciting stage presence.

Doc's style is drawn from a personal pilgrimage through the blues with years of jamming with many of Chicago's Blues greats while a paramedic at the notorious Cook County Jail – therefore the "Doc" handle. "Every so often arrives the pairing of musicians incorporating an indiscernible ingredient or quality that virtually guarantees longevity. And so it's been with Doc Span & Ross Williams, much to the delight of the audiences they've been entertaining for years. "They're playing the blues like it was all those years ago, with a lot of feel, you can never get sick of this type of playing." Blues Review
