The Norwood Community Markets have moved. You can now find them at the Wesley Church. 280 Portrush Road, Norwood. The Corner of Portrush Road and the Parade.
Vintage Fashion
In Adelaide you can usually find one of three markets: craft markets, trash and treasure markets, and food markets. It is pretty rare that all three of these combine, but at the
Norwood Community Markets you'll be pleasantly surprised at how well the three come together.
Held inside the Wesley Church, at
280 Portrush Road, Norwood, the markets find themselves in a cosy venue, and at first glance you might not expect them to hold as much as they do. The markets are held on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, and run from around 10am till 4pm.
Inside the Norwood Markets
There really is a bit of everything at the markets, and you're likely to find something different at each stall you visit. There are cute children's clothes, and knitted beanies that can transform your child into a dainty darling, or a ferocious dinosaur. You'll find a range of handmade jewellery, and hair accessories that suit the very young, to senior fashionistas. You'll also be able to admire handmade soaps, and candles, and pick up a card for the next special occasion.
Freshly Baked Goods
There are a few well stocked vintage and handmade clothing stalls to be found. Expect to find anything from leather boots, to fur coats, to 40s style dresses and aprons.
Shop the Monkey is one of these sellers, and at their stall you'll find frocks, bags, shoes, and more.
Clothes for the Kids
You can't even consider discussing the markets without talking about the food. If the hunger pangs start while you're browsing you can enjoy a tasty plate of curry, or a freshly baked pastry. It is worth checking out the Greek treats on offer, like the 'louka', tasty Greek doughnuts to appease the sweet tooths.

Enjoying the Food on Offer
There is plenty to take home too. Think fresh loaves of sourdough bread, delicious homemade jams and sauces, and kalamata olives that are full of flavour. You even might be lucky and find
Unley Organic Food setting up their stall, where you can order fresh organic groceries to be delivered to your door.

Bring the kids along, as they'll love heading over to
Redlippyart designing and making their own badges. They also might get the chance to get their faces painted. As the market grows it hopes to have even more fun activities for the kids, to make this a real family and community orientated market.
Making Badges
From books, to vintage fashion, to tasty baked treats, you'll find something for everyone. The best bit about the markets is that they really do have a community feel. They help fill the void that was left in the area after the Orange Lane Markets closed in 2003, and it's something that locals and visitors are loving.
Polkadot Bitz and Pieces
Head to the Norwood Community Markets and join the friendly stallholders as you sample some of the great things on offer. They'll be at the Wesley Church every second and fourth Saturday of the month.
