These days you can purchase almost anything without leaving your home - but the online experience is no match for trawling through a weekend market, as you never know what you can find!
The
North Melbourne Market is a monthly Sunday event, held at
The Melbourne Lithuanian Club.
This indoor market, which is held from 10am to 3pm, has many unique stalls selling one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, vintage fashion finds, hand-made jewelery and accessories, a variety of homewares and designer textiles and many more. There are a total of seventy stalls located within the market, including ones which sell specialty foods, kids clothing and toys, to fashion from local designers. There really is something for everyone.
Entry is only $2, so it is a fun family activity for a leisurely Sunday afternoon. The dates for the
North Melbourne Market for the first half of 2011 are as follows;
Sunday 23/1/2011, Sunday 20/2/2011, Sunday 27/3/2011, Sunday 17/4/2011, Sunday 22/5/2011 and Sunday 26/6/2011.
