Noosaville Kayaking

Situated on a quiet estuary, Noosaville is a great place for casual and beginner kayaking, with options for more experienced kayakers. Along the Gympie Terrace esplanade there are numerous places to hire kayaks, stand up paddle boats, sailing boat and powered vessels.
We hired out kayaks from
Kayak Noosa who also provided us with excellent advice on the most appropriate place to paddle on the day. Because of the current tidal conditions, they recommended that we head down the estuary and doing a loop through Weyba Creek.
This is a pleasant paddle, the main hassle being wash from other water craft. We stopped the Noosa Spit Recreational reserve to stretch our legs.
An alternative route is to head up river, either to Donella Lake, or if you have more time and energy even as far as Lake Cooroibah. Whichever way you paddle there are plenty of places to stop to stretch your legs or on a longer paddle, places to picnic. More experienced kayakers could consider heading out through the heads for some ocean kayaking.
If you are looking for guided kayaking tours, Kayak Noosa, and other places in Noosaville offer can accommodate you.
Afterwards there are many places to go for coffee, cake, lunch or drinks. The floating
Noosa Boathouse is a great place for drinks with a view.
