The 105th Noosa Country Show was special for so many reasons. The theme of this year's show was Noosa Shire from the Country to the Coast, celebrating the reformation of Noosa Shire.

While so many country shows are reducing to one day, Noosa Show Society not only ran a two day program jam packed with ring events, and workshops of every type in pavilions over the two days, but opened a night early once again with an art exhibition that filled the showground squash courts to the brim.

Pomona's showground is still the hub of the community, in the town where Noosa Shire was originally formed so many years ago.

There were fabulous displays showcasing local talent in Cookery, Horticulture and Photography, with the art exhibition and the cultural workshops amusing young and old. While the craft entries were down, the quality was second to none this year.

Exhibits spanned much industry in the region, including Chef Jonathon from Noosa's Berardos representing the Noosa Food and Wine Festival, pumping out tasty morsels to everyone for free. The Main Arena was covered with quantity and quality in the horse and stud beef rings and the new schedules were a hit.

Going around the show people with smiling faces lapped up the fabulous atmosphere, basking in the glorious spring sunshine and starry nights having a fabulous time.

The Noosa Shire Council put up an excellent and informative marquee with the Mobile Library on site for both days. Noosa Mayor Cr Noel Playford attended as did Cr Sandy Bolton, who entertained all as master of ceremonies at the art show opening.
With CEO of Queensland Shows Mark Bryant, Sub Chamber President Ivan Hankinson, and delegate Monica Skerman in attendance the honourable Glen Elmes Member for Noosa, Minister for Indigenous & Multicultural Affairs officially opened the show on the Friday, witnessing the biggest grand parade to date, complete with horse drawn carriages carrying this year's show girls. Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss officiated the People's Choice Award at the Art Exhibition on the Saturday.
"We are a small and new committee, and we knew we'd have to work hard to pull it all together in time," said Keith Hanning Noosa Country Show president. "To end up with the biggest show in Noosa's history, and so many distinguished guests was a better result than we could dream for, and I thank this year's committee for their incredible efforts, allowing us to showcase the very best of Noosa Country to so many."

The party absolutely rocked on Friday night with Angry Anderson, Steve Hart, Kevin Barker and the Beagle Babes with the Allstars making a fantastic and popular line up, and the Rodeo, Monster Trucks, Smokin' Mirrors and Burlesque La Amour topped it all off the following night.
