Noodle Village

Noodle soup isn't just for cold winter days and rainy autumn nights. They are year-round bowls of delight that, at the Noodle Village, can teleport you straight to China.

Serving up thick and thin rice noodles alongside white-wheat udonand eggy ramen, the Noodle Village is an eating oasis in the heart of bustling Chinatown.

Clean and simply contemporary the shop serves dishes to a local clientele, who like authentic Chinese fare without touristy lines. Fill the table with opulent orders of steamed and pan-fried dumplings. Stab your chopsticks into the classically prepared Chinese broccoli in Oyster Sauce. Or just give into the restaurants specialty noodles.

First choose a style: stir-fried, topped with curry, or swimming in a hearty broth with chicken, seafood, vegetables or beef. Then decide on your noodles: rice, egg, or udon. Your meal comes out freshly made and screaming hot. Don't forget to ask for the complimentary Oolong tea, a great accompaniment to wash down your meal. Spare ribs and shrimp dumplings are highly recommended.

After the plates are cleared, consider a bubble tea to go. A creamy treat of cool mango, papaya, or coconut, bubble tea comes with an oversized straw, a handy instrument for suctioning the sweet tapioca pearls at the bottom of your cup.

Yeah, most Americans don't think of noodle soup as a full on meal. Hong Kong Style is very good too.

I'm a big ramen fan but here, it's rice noodles all the way. With shrimp dumplings too.
