Nikon School is hosting a series of Wildlife Photography classes at Melbourne Zoo in July, August and September 2017.
Nikon School's Wildlife at Melbourne Zoo course will enable animal-loving photographers to get their zoom up close and personal to Melbourne Zoo's amazing animals.
For individuals at all photographic skill and knowledge levels, the wildlife photography classes will cover camera equipment and settings, lens configurations, depth of field and composition, as well as top tips and tricks when photographing animals.
The course includes 3 hours of course time (from 1:30pm until 4:30pm on the day) at Melbourne Zoo, an opportunity to test Nikon gear and entry to the National Geographic Photo Ark by Joel Sartore.
With award-winning animal photographer Jay Town, who shoots for the
Herald Sun, teaching the course; you are assured to learn how to take impressive shots of active and inactive animals, advance your technical skills and expand your creativity.
The topics covered include:
Animal photography
Camera equipment
Familiarisation with your gear and its settings
Lens choices
Importance of depth of field
Composition of the photograph
Letting light work for you
Knowing your subject; and
Viewpoint.
Nikon School's Wildlife at Melbourne Zoo courses cost $99 and are available on Saturday 15 July, Saturday 19 August and Wednesday 27 September 2017.
Although open to Individuals at all photographic skill and knowledge levels, the course is ideal for individuals who have a reasonable grasp of their digital SLR and would like to advance their photography skills while learning to photograph animals.
