Get up close and personal to this natural wonder
The journey from Toronto to Niagara falls is only 1 hour and 20 minutes (slightly longer in traffic) making this a great day trip to enjoy on the weekend.

The falls straddle the border between Canada and the USA. Niagara falls is the collective name for three waterfalls namely; the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lies on the Canadian side and the other two on the USA side.

Whilst the American Falls and Bridal Falls are both magnificent, the Horseshoe Falls is the real gem. There is a magic about this falls which manifests itself in the remarkable horseshoe shaped column of falling water along with the resulting spray which rises to unbelievable heights.

You are able to view the wonder of the Niagara Falls from the top for free.

But the most breathtaking view is from the bottom where you can watch as cascades of water tumble down, smashing against the protruding rocks at the base. The Maid of the Mist is a boat which takes you right up close to the action. Although these boats may be slightly crowded due to popularity, the experience of standing right in front of the powerful falls, feeling the spray smack against your face and hearing their roar is a once in a lifetime experience which should not be missed.

Feel a surge of adrenaline rush through your body as you head straight towards the the 75m high, powerful falls. Even though you are provided with a poncho to avoid getting sodden, you will definitely still get wet! But a little bit of water is definitely worth the view.
