Can you believe that 2016 is coming to a close - hopefully it's been a year filled with sweet memories and joyous times for you and your family.

But … we have a new year dawning - 2017 - like a blank book, your new year is waiting to be filled in, with hopes anew, a new beginning, joyful hearts, the gift of love, happiness, peace and warmth.

See the 'old' year out and the 'new' year in on the Sunshine Coast with three spectacular celebrations in three different locations…which one to choose?

Join in the festivities at Mooloolaba this New Year's Eve and welcome in the new year of 2017. This annual event in Mooloolaba attracts over 40,000 local residents and visitors so will be abuzz with vibrancy and atmosphere.

The gates open at 4.00pm with free family activities, roving entertainment, face painting and food stalls. Thirsty Merc, Cheap Fakes and Hoo8Hoo will be entertaining with live music on the main stage, while passionate DJ sets will do their 'thing' on the beach stage.

Two dazzling fireworks displays - one at 8.30pm and the second at midnight - will enthrall visitors with their fabulosity.

This event is a safe, secure, fully fenced, alcohol and glass-free zone.

Sunshine Coast Council, with the support of The Surf Club Mooloolaba, Sea FM and Mix FM are presenting this fabulous New Year's Eve entertainment.

Caloundra New Year's Eve is a family event at Kings Beach, Caloundra. There'll be childrens' rides, food and drink stalls, fireworks, music, dance, face painting and a zillion other fun things to do. Look out for some great entertainment from the Ampitheatre stage. At 7.30pm the movie, Zootopia (PG) will be screened and the fireworks display is set to go off from the foreshore of Kings Beach at 9.30pm - a night of fun, fun, fun.

Creative Events Incorporated, supported by Sunshine Coast Council are presenting this spectacular evening.

Don't fancy the crowds of Mooloolaba or Caloundra, nip off to Coolum for a sensational New Year's Eve celebration in Tickle Park. There will be childrens' rides, sausage sizzle, popcorn, fairy floss and so much more with the fireworks display set for 8.00pm.

The Lions Club of Coolum Beach , supported by the Sunshine Coast Council, are presenting this awesome evening.

The toughest question will be, 'which one should we go to?'
