New Beaches of Bayside

Following on from local council works in 2015 Bayside has some 'new' beaches. Though the water may have always been there, the shallow waters and rough break of the waves made the section of the coast far less pleasant to take a dip in than spending time in the sea at other surrounding beaches like
Sandringham Beach or
Dendy Street Beach . Yet, with the new works have come a new way to enjoy the bay stretched across two new beaches.
The great thing about these new beaches - situated between
South Road Beach and
Middle Hampton Beach (and just like these two accessible via Beach Rd) is not only does it offer more space for Melburnians to make use of the coast in the summertime, but also has changed the form of the waves. Where waves once crashed sharply into shore, calm waters now feature along the coast.
The main decision you have to weigh up between the two new locales is whether you like a beach with a long expanse of sand and sea, or a smaller and quieter stretch of coast. The 'left' beach offers more space to lie in the sun, whereas the right beach is cosier and ideal for family visits where the kids can run around a little, but still remain in sight of mum and dad.
Regardless though, with crisp blue water, white sand - and even palm trees overlooking the vista above - for whatever reason you visit, and whatever you do while there - it'll not take long to find much enjoyment amidst the very tropical feel of Bayside's new beaches.
