Nude resorts – the future or a no go zone?
Naked, nudie, raw, rudie, starkers, (oh and probably deviants, risk takers and crazy) are but a few names that I'm sure Nudists get called. I have a friend who is a nudist and he regularly tells me how uptight his friends are in regards to his choice of attire or in his case, lack of.
It got me thinking "where do people go for a holiday if they prefer to be clothes free?" I did a little research and came up with a few nudist retreats around the south-east of Queensland.
Cooroy Colony
The first naturalist resort is on the Sunshine Coast. Located at Carters Ridge, 19 km's west of Cooroy, Cooroy Colony has 16 powered and watered sites, and a onsite van used for guest accommodation.

boBRENE on Tamborine
Bob and Rene manage this naturist retreat located between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. If you are looking to leave your clothes in your car upon arrival and embrace the naturist way, you can stay in their serene and friendly environment – in a cosy chalet or a luxury cottage.
There are lots of choices on offer here too, from relaxing in the spa to sitting around the open log fire, sipping a glass of wine to dining al fresco at this retreat.

Fraser Island (Not Officially a Naturist Resort)
And although it's not 'officially' a nudist getaway, one would have to concur that Fraser Island, being the largest sand island in the world, would have many sand dunes and shady 'out of the way spots' perfect for a bit of nudity. With kilometres of beautiful beaches on both the ocean and inland sides, it would not take you long to find the perfect private site.
simple delights
Being a 'unofficial' nude beach, it's probably best to avoid holiday peak season and to show consideration for other folk.
