The National Theatre Live (NTL) has already kicked of its third season and is now showing at a cinema near you. NTL is a pioneering initiative that broadcasts live performances in Britain to cinemas worldwide.

Travelling Light is set in the early 1900s in an Eastern Europe village. A twenty two year old Motl Mendl discovers a revolutionary way of cinematic storytelling and later in life, as a famous movie director, recounts his early life and the cost of fulfilling his dreams.

Nicholas Wright's new play is entertaining and pays tribute to the Eastern European immigrants who became major players in Hollywood's golden age.
