CanTeen is an Australian Charity Organisation that helps 12 to 24 year olds living with cancer, providing a home away from home and the hospital, giving them a break from their daily lives. Their mission is "to support, develop and empower young people living with cancer."
Cancer can be daunting, affecting anyone, anytime. Whether it's a diagnosis for a young person themselves, a family member, or even death resulting from this disease, CanTeen has an Australia-wide network to help. "CanTeen is based on the philosophy that no young person should have to go through their cancer experience alone."
Camps and programs are designed to stimulate young minds in a supporting and caring environment, aimed at reducing the burden. It encourages young people to talk with others in their age group, in similar circumstances, to help them understand the unfamiliar territory surrounding cancer.
As part of their fundraising and awareness campaign, CanTeen is holding its annual National Bandanna Day on Friday 28th October, 2011 to raise money in aid of this cause.
By simply purchasing a bandanna at only $4 each, available at participating businesses that hold a display box, you are helping young people build positive relationships and psychological strength at an uncertain time in life. Also for sale are pens at $2 each, badges at $4 per set and lapel pins for $5 each.
To purchase a bandanna via the website, or order stock to sell, visit here. You may even wish to arrange your own exciting event. More information about CanTeen and their services can be found here or free call 1800 226 833.
An event that everyone should participate in. Nice one Pea.

It's up to an individual business owner's preference and if they decide to participate or not. Maybe contact free call 1800 226 833, or (08) 8161 7488 for South Australia for information. Otherwise, maybe ask at your local shopping centre. I have seen a few at this location. Hope this helps.
