The Rockingham Regional Environment Centre, or Naragebup, hosts a great range of activities and excursions for people of all ages to enjoy.

Lake Richmond is one of the last places where you can still see the living rocks called Thrombolites. They are older than the dinosaur and they breath!

We walked through a prickly forest of Sedglands, making sure we didn't step on any snakes or lizards along the way.

Then we used binoculars to identify various birds.

At the environment centre we went to the pond, each with a net which we used to dip into the pond and put any creatures we found into a clear container filled with water.

Then we used a magnifying glass and identification poster to find out what we had caught.

Other fun activities coming up in April are the "Picnic and Science Fun" each Sunday 1-2pm and the Holiday program starts on Tuesday April 15.
