My Fried Rice Recipe

This dish is so versatile - you can really use whatever vegetables or other ingredients you may have in the fridge or pantry if you like. Sometimes I add grilled chicken.



Ingredients:

2 Cups of boiled or steamed rice
1 onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic, chopped finely
1 carrot, thinly sliced
1 rasher of lean bacon, chopped
1/2 cup of peas
1/2 cup of corn kernels
Soy sauce
Worcestershire sauce


Directions:

1) Cook the bacon, onion and garlic in a large wok or pan.

2) Add the carrots and fry until slightly softened. Add peas and corn kernels. Stir in about 3-4 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of worcestershire sauce.

3) Add the rice in batches ensuring that it combines well with the vegetables.

4) Turn up the heat and constantly toss the rice and veggies around mixing it all together. Have a taste and make sure it's to your liking.

5) Serve and enjoy.
