Follow the reuniting of a group of teachers and their former pupils, now adults, and the slightly unexpected series of events and stories which follow. We found that with little idea of what to expect, we were kept constantly on the edge of our seats and never being able to predict where the story would go next and we certainly could never have guessed at the ending.
There are some rather grim events mentioned and it depicts a rather dark image of the city, so I probably wouldn't suggest this for children. It is also a bit of a psychological exploration of how people and places change, something that Poliakoff does flawlessly.
Be a part of the world premiere of 'My City' at the Almeida Theatre, the season running from September 8th through to November 5th. Evening performances begin at 7.30pm and Saturday matinees run at 2.30pm and tickets range from £8 (with slightly restricted viewing, being a pole in your line of vision) through to £32.
