"Naughty but nice" - "Go to work on an egg" - "Your flexible friend" - "Beanz Meanz Heinz" - "Probably the best lager in the world" - "Vorsprung durch technik". Great ad slogans from the last 40 years, and the kind of thing you might stumble across at the
Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising.
The compact museum, bursting with food and drink product packaging, posters, toys and games (and plenty more), is the brainchild of Robert Opie, a consumer historian who's keen to share with visitors decades of products and their development over time.
The place is a must for any student of the media, advertising, graphic design, public relations and marketing. But it's also perfect for those simply after a trip down memory lane, with countless items from over the years to browse through.
Displayed items cover more than a hundred years, so there'll be some you won't recognise, but plenty you do. Childhood memories are guaranteed to be stirred as you cast your eyes upon things long forgotten.
A popular part of the museum shows the evolution of the packaging of single products, giving an insight into how fashions have changed in relation to branding and design.

The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising runs special events throughout the year, which you can find out about
here.
