Murrays Café is a popular little oasis well patronised by regulars and warmly welcoming to visitors. Its north facing aspect ensures plenty of sunshine so large umbrellas shelter the outdoor tables with a couple of longer tables to cater for groups or individual diners.



Gavin and Kylie Murray the owners are capable friendly hosts who opened this café nearly two years ago. It is dog-friendly, child-friendly, bike-friendly, in short it is a very friendly and welcoming establishment with special menus for the first two and a rack for the latter. With more than a hundred reviews on Facebook and trip advisor it is the first I have seen with a full five star rating.


Situated well away from the bustle just off busy sixth avenue their interesting lunch menu averages $15, the cabinet and counter have a range of wraps, rolls, substantial slices and fresh scones, muffins or almond croissants daily. They provide a full range of beverages including alcohol, have coffee cards for their organic coffee and sell handcrafted earrings with easy street parking.



They do breakfast and lunches weekdays 6.30am – 2.30pm; Saturday 7am – 2.30pm; Sunday 7am – noon. You are sure of great service and fresh meals meaning good value for your money at Murrays. Check out their Facebook for more photos.
