If you're a mummy who prefers to avoid mass produced children's clothing, you'll find a large selection of unique and boutique garments at the Mummy Tree Markets.
The
Mummy Tree Markets are an extensive baby and children's market with a focus on quality, one of a kind goods. Products can be handmade or factory made, but there are generally no second hand items. Many of the stallholders are mothers themselves, who run small businesses from their home.
The markets take place on selected Sundays (see their
Facebook page for a list of dates) and offer products and services for pregnancy, babies, toddlers and children. You will find clothing, furniture, jewellery, art work and loads more, all in one easy location. Some unique finds include
funky baby sneakers and
old fashioned wooden toys.
If you run a small children related business, you can apply to become a stall holder
here.
The Mummy Tree Markets aims to support small businesses by providing a central and desirable retail location. This is a luxury market experience, with facilities to rival most shopping centres. Food options include a cafeteria with EFTPOS facilities, gourmet food stores and a bar, while children will be kept entertained with supervised art classes and a television.
The Mummy Tree Markets sets up in Brisbane at
River Park Place, 400-420 Lytton Road, Morningside, and in the Gold Coast at the
Gold Coast Parklands. Both venues offer parking and the Gold Coast Parklands is air conditioned. Admission is free.
