It's that time of year again – Mother's Day. Why not do something special for Mother this year and take her to a special place that she will remember for a long time? It may be the setting – within views of Mount Coonowrin and the mango trees, or the pine forest across the road, or the vast collection of antiques in the house, or the tea, coffee and food that will impress her. Victory Tea Rooms and Antiques on 122 Glass House-Woodford Road, just a short distance up from the Old Gympie Road.

You can sit midst the beautiful items on display for morning or afternoon tea, explore the items from the past within the house, or consider the other options which are: arrange for your food to be delivered to your picnic spot on the lawns, or sit inside the house surrounded by antiques, out in the veranda or other areas around the quirky house. There's plenty of room for the little ones to run around the lawns too!

Your Hostess Rhondda Scott knows her antiques, provides fabulous food, and is a great source of information about her wares. Mother will have so much fun, especially if she remembers the 1950's era.

In fact, you don't have to wait until Mother's Day as the Vintage Tea Rooms are open 6 days a week, and there are plenty of places to explore along the way and in the area. The Tea Rooms are closed on Wednesdays, and the first Thursday of each month, but open on other days from 9 am to 5 pm. To book call Rhondda on 0410 338 910.

Driving along the Old Gympie Road will bring memories for many folk, and exploring the hinterland with its many fruit and other farms and historic places in the area will provide much fodder for conversation too.

There is entertainment from time to time, so check the Facebook page for details.

The food is great and the service excellent. Make Mother's Day special this year and treat her to an outing to the Victory Tea Rooms!
