Mother's day is that special day that comes around once a year. This year on Sunday 13th May, mums across Sydney will have a break from cooking, cleaning and doing the washing up.
Before you put on an apron and get out the cook books check out my list of Mother's Day lunch venues. Of course Mother's Day is one of the year's busiest days for restaurants, so be quick to make a booking.

2.Lugarno Seafood Restaurant – Located on the George's River, Lugarno Seafood Restaurant is the perfect place for a Mother's Day lunch without having to face the bustle of the city. If you have not visited this restaurant before, take the opportunity of Mother's Day to enjoy their a la carte menu, featuring fresh seafood, premium steaks, pastas and delectable salads. 3. Vagabond Spirit Mother's Day- If you are looking for something extra special this year, have a think about treating mum to a Vagabond Spirit lunch time cruise. It is more than a lunch, it is a celebration. Their Mother's Day three hour cruise of Sydney Harbour departs from Darling Harbour at 12.30pm. There is live jazz music, an elaborate seafood and carvery buffet and a free flower for every mum. 4. Centennial Parklands – This is my favourite venue to celebrate Mother's Day. If it is a nice day your kids can enjoy a play in the park before or after you have lunch, making it a fun day out for everyone. For $80 per person you can choose a three course meal from yummy options like wild mushroom ravioli, corn- fed chicken breast with Mediterranean couscous and pear tarte tartin for dessert. 5. Meadows Brasserie - Visit Mounties at Mt Pritchard to treat your mum to a seafood extravaganza in this multiple award winning restaurant. The mega seafood tower for two is just $99 and features an array of cooked and fresh seafood, served with chips and garlic bread. Bookings are essential on 9610 5888.
