MotherFather's Party Dinner: An Impro Feast!

A walking stick is all it takes to get MotherFather started on their one hour performance, taking us into the world of German vegetarian werewolves, fluorescent Pussylord mine workers with safety issues, human-loving cats, gay nature poetry, teenagers witnessing the secret place of their conception ... it is as absurd as it sounds. It has been some time since I've been holding my stomach, slapping my knees laughing out loud and wiping tears from the corners of my eyes in a public place! Scenes change in a hand clap, ideas being exchanged in the blink of an eye and transformed on that stage instantly. This is how it must be like in an ADHD-ers' mind!MotherFather (Cranston Cup champions Bridie Connell and Tom Walker) are fast, hilarious, sympathetic and energetic. Every sketch comes as a surprise and even during (very few) moments of silence they manage to make us burst into laughter. It is a pleasure to see these two people act out on stage and I highly recommend to all comedy festival visitors (and everybody else for that matter) to go see and enjoy MotherFather's Party Dinner without any food but loads of intelligent, honest and inventive impro comedy. Seriously, GO! Apart from MotherFather, the venue itself is also well worth a visit. If the weather allows, try and squeeze in some extra time for a beer in the Factory Theatre's beer garden and mingle with other comedy fans. You might even get lucky and catch up with the stars themselves afterwards.
