Imagine looking in every direction and seeing magical bright blooms of red, yellow, coral, pink, champagne and peach? The Mornington Rose Garden (free entry) gives you just that.
With a toddler and baby in tow (pram friendly), you can explore the volunteer-created garden. The scene from the centre rotunda (surrounded by a field of roses) is superb.
A great place to sit and take it all in.
Just a short stroll to the end of the garden and you can view across the garden (and to the lake beyond) from the lookout.
Featuring more than 230 rose varieties (and about 4000 roses), it makes a perfect day outing for rose appreciators and flower-loving children too.
