If you've never seen an Impro Melbourne show, do yourself and your endorphins a favour and go and see a show. There are two reasons why I'm a regular at their shows: firstly, because they're so hilarious. They're a little like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get but you can be assured of some sweet delights. Secondly, they're so affordable! I buy my tickets online for $15 and if I'm bringing my family, I can get a family ticket which includes two adults and two kids for just $40.

How does Impro work? Basically, there are a number of players and they're usually given a topic, and it's their task to come with a script on the spot. There's no rehearsing and the results are often hilarious. Think about television shows like "Who's Line is it Anyway"; this is a live performance version of that.

Impro Melbourne presents Mork and Mind. This is a special event in addition to their usual fare.

This show is "A celebration of Robin Williams' life and a charity show – fundraising for Mind Australia in celebration of the life and memory of a comic genius." Mind Australia is a community run service providing support and information in regards to mental illness for sufferers and their families.

Do yourself a favour and support a great organisation while enjoying a night of comedy at the Courthouse Hotel at 86 Errol Street North Melbourne.

Impro Melbourne also runs regular shows in Prahran on Sunday nights. Check out the Impro Melbourne website for more details.
